I use the Winch Bit at www.WinchBit.com.
A simple part, but high quality and frankly worth the price. The engineer makes them and has all the info on various drill
motors on his web site. I drive mine with the top of the line drill - a very nice and powerful Milwaukee portable drill motor
- the 28 volt model #0721 Rt angle drill. Has a reversible variable speed for H/L on the 2 speed winch and full torque at
very low RPM. You absolutely will not lack for power. The battery lasts a long time & seems to be good for at least a dozen
or more raising and lowering, but I got a spare battery anyway. In fact, the same V28 battery also drives a handheld Milwaukee
spotlight which is so handy it gets more use than the power Winch Bit does. Doing it this way is the Cadillac solution and
not inexpensive - but first class. Makes you feel good about good 'ol USA tool quality. I originally considered going with
an all-electric winch, but after a couple of years of use, this seems to be a better solution. And of course you have a nice
drill for any necessary uses onboard. ………… No, I don't have any connection with the Winch Bit people. In fact, I was
hesitant to spend the dollars for the system and am now so convinced I'm thinking of getting a spare Winch Bit "just in case".
Hope this helps, Roger, F28cc - not a Freedom; its a Farrier tri.

From A Happy Customer Who Ordered 2 More Bits Because The First
One Was Donated to King Neptune.
I received my two Winch Bits yesterday. Now that was fast service! This is a great
addition to my boat. My all female crew love it. We named it "Boat Boy". We had been laughing about getting a boat boy. when
one of the women's boy friends sails with us; we call him boat boy (behind his back.) We love “Boat Boy” (aka Winch Bit) and
were all about to cry when it went over board. “Boat Boy” needs to tighten up! Thanks again, Tere Mills Captain:

I was very happy that it worked. I cant believe
I have a power winch to use on all my winches that has only cost me $270 and not THOUSANDS. My wife and I have a way of talking
about money we spend on the boat as "boat dollars," if something cost $2,700 we drop the zero and say $270. So this has given
a new meaning to the savings on boat dollars. I look forward to showing my new toy to other sailors and look forward
to more of your new products.
Thank you. Dave Wadanoli

By the way we have a Beneteau 440 on which we use the 28 volt
Milwaukee unit and your bit. It's all we need for our roller furling main, genoa and the main winches.
We head back
to our boat in the BVI on Saturday. By the way, this bit order is number seven.....so many of my friends love that set-up
and we keep getting persuaded into doing the ordering..... your product is not 100% better but one 1000% better than the square
unit we began with. Fair winds and Following Seas Admiral Toby & Capt. Jack Glassman
